This beautifully crafted Tobacco Leaf Creamer showcases one of the most iconic dinnerware patterns of the 18th century. Originally made in China for export to the Portuguese and Brazilian markets, it became highly prized for its exquisite design and fine craftsmanship. George and Martha Washington owned pieces of this pattern, and examples of their Tobacco Leaf china are now part of the Mount Vernon collection.

The design features a delicate phoenix bird perched on the vibrant leaves of the Nicotiana (Tobacco) plant, with an intricate color palette of twenty-seven hues and stunning 22k gold accents. The pattern is inspired by an original piece displayed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
