Diplomatic Eagle Cup and Saucer
These porcelain tableware items and accessories were designed especially for the diplomatic reception rooms of the Department of State and the White House. They may also be found in many U.S. embassies around the world.
The designs are adapted from Chinese export porcelain, circa 1810, bearing one of the earliest depictions of the American eagle found in ceramic decoration.
The cup is 2 7/8" tall with a 5 1/4" saucer
