Inspired by the original blown glass wineglasses owned by the Washington's during George Washington's presidency, this sterling silver and white topaz round pendant embraces the three rows of zigzagging stars engraved on the glassware from the Mount Vernon Ladies Association’s Collection.
George brought the glassware to Mount Vernon when he retired from public office. The blown glass wineglasses are colorless, with tapered drawn stem, conical foot with faceted edge and a pontil mark. The engraving features a horizontal line and a zigzag line above; three rows of stars below.
