Sterling Silver and Garnet Ring

This beautiful sterling silver ring features a garnet and intricate designs reminiscent of the gardens at Mount Vernon. Garnets were Martha Washington’s favorite stones for jewelry.

Throughout the 1760s and 1770s, Martha Washington purchased garnet jewelry for herself and her daughter, Martha Parke Custis, from London jewelers. Garnets were popular in Lady Washington's time and remain so today.
