Cobalt Wine Rinser

This historic cobalt blue wine rinser is a reproduction of those used at Mount Vernon. Wine rinsers were often placed on the table during elaborate 18th-century meals, when a different wine was served with each course. The wine glass would be rinsed between servings using an elegant container like this one.

The initials "GW" are etched on the bottom of the wine rinser. Made exclusively for The Shops at Mount Vernon by Blenko Glass, a West Virginia glassmaker with a long history of craftsmanship. The wine rinser measures approximately 5 in in diameter and 4 in deep.
