GW in Prayer Challenge Coin - Second Edition

On October 3, 1789, George Washington wrote in his Thanksgiving Proclamation “It is impossible to govern the world without God. It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the Providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits and humbly implore his protection and favor.”

This gold, red and black 1 ¾” commemorative coin is inscribed on one side with George Washington in Prayer – Second Edition, and on the other side the words of his prayer “Almighty God; we make our earnest prayer that thou wilt keep the United States in thy holy protection.”
