Marie Doud Eisenhower, or “Mamie” as she was known by everyone, was First Lady from 1953 to 1961. Her husband General Dwight D. Eisenhower was a World War II hero and two-term President. Her 1953 inaugural gown was fashioned Mamie’s famously favorite color - pink. It was made of peau de soie and covered in rhinestones. This hand-painted wooden ornament stands almost four inches tall and has a silk ribbon for hanging or can stand alone.
