Butterfly Weed Seed Pack
Butterfly Weed: Asclepias tuberosa
Butterfly Weed is a native perennial to the U.S. and Canada. The plant was introduced into Europe in 1690.
Flower stalks 2 - 2 1/2' feet appear in mid-summer displaying delightful orange flowers. Flowers are excellent for cutting and the seed pods are a nice addition to a dried arrangement.
Seeds can be sown late winter indoors, or outside in the spring where the plants are to grow. Once established leave undisturbed for they move poorly. Butterfly Weed prefers full sun and can tolerate drought.
