1810 U.S. Penny Antique Coin
The 1810 U.S. penny is a beautiful specimen. It was one of the first editions of a new design which makes it very popular with collectors. On one side of the coin, the center is dominated by the left-facing Lady Liberty. In previous years, she was facing the opposite direction. Inscribed within a band on Lady Liberty’s head is the inscription Liberty. On both sides of Lady Liberty are a total of 13 stars to commemorate the 13 original colonies of the United States.
The 1810 year of minting features at the bottom. The reverse side of the coin features the inscription One Cent encircled by a wreath. United States of America is inscribed along the coin’s outer edge.
