Large Crystal Tavern Glass

Tavern glasses are made in a style that was commonly seen in homes and taverns in colonial times.  A clear tavern glass was generally used for wine while a darker colored glass was used for other beverages. Mount Vernon's cobalt colored tavern glasses make perfect water glasses for today’s dining tables. The tavern glasses are approximately 7 ¼” tall, 3” in diameter at the base, and 4” in diameter at the lip. Size will vary as each glass is individually hand-made. The capacity of the large tavern glass is 6 ounces.

“GW” has been etched on the bottom of each glass exclusively for Mount Vernon. Handmade by Blenko Glass, West Virginia stained glass makers since the 19th century.
