The beautiful round bowl is truly a collector’s piece. Wood from this bowl was sourced from a Mount Vernon White Oak tree circa 1783. This towering white oak was in decline until a recent storm blew it over and the wood was saved so that a master wood turner could create products for our historic wood collection.
This raw edge bowl measures almost 9” in diameter and 4 ¼” tall with almost 1” of raw edge banding. Created by master wood crafter Doug Dill of Lanexa, Virginia. Not suitable for use with water.
This unique collector’s piece is signed and numbered on the bottom and a small card with the tree source and date is included. The vase is accompanied by a numbered certificate signed by the Regent of the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association. Please note that this one-of-a kind item is not eligible for a discount.
