1810 US Penny
The 1810 US penny was one of the first editions of a new design which makes it very popular with collectors. On one side of the coin, the center is dominated by the left-facing Lady Liberty. In previous years, she was facing the opposite direction. Inscribed within a band on Lady Liberty’s head is the word “Liberty.” On both the left and right sides of Lady Liberty are a total of 13 stars to commemorate the 13 original colonies of the United States. Finally, the 1810 year of minting can be found towards the bottom. The reverse side of the coin features an inscription which reads “One Cent” encircled by a wreath. The phrase “United States of America” is inscribed along the coin’s outer edge.
This is an original coin, not a reproduction.
