Turkey Craw Bean Seed Pack
Turkey Craw bean is an heirloom pole bean variety that was said to have been found by a hunter in the craw of a wild turkey.
An all-purpose bean, the stringless pods can be eaten fresh, canned, frozen, or allowed to mature for dried beans.
Beans are not cold tolerant and need warm soil of 65°F or higher. When soil temperatures warm in spring, soak beans overnight in moist towels or moist vermiculite. Then, direct sow beans into the garden, 3-4 beans per pole, and 1” deep, full sun. 60-70 days for green beans. 100 days for dried beans.
