The District Mug
This blue mug has a representation of the flag of the District of Columbia with its white base, two equal sized horizontal red stripes and three, red five-pointed stars above. The District is printed in white capital letters under a representation of the US Capitol building. The other side of the mug has Washington DC printed in white letters.
The DC flag is based on the family coat of arms granted to George Washington's great-great-great-grandfather, Lawrence Washington of Sulgrave Manor, Northamptonshire, England in 1592. This coat of arms was used privately by the President in his home at Mount Vernon.
