Description
The Mount Vernon Ribbons and Cornflower pattern is adapted from a French porcelain mug originally used by George and Martha Washington. The original mug, on display in the museum at Mount Vernon, was made in Paris by Christopher Potter, circa 1790-1795. Washington's keen eye for elegance and fashion attracted him to this handsomely decorated piece. The pattern of the yellow band and intertwined ribbons of leaves and flowers with cornflower sprigs decorates our fine porcelain chamberstick. Candle not included.
Size is 4 ½” D by 1 ¾” H
