The Patrick Henry ornament is one of the unique products of St. Nicolas, a British company which has worked with a small Christian charity in Thailand or India for 25 years helping disadvantaged rural women work in their own community by sewing decorations at home. Patrick Henry Patrick Henry was an American attorney, planter and orator well known for his declaration in 1775 to the Second Virginia Convention: "I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!" Patrick Henry served as the first and sixth post-colonial Governor of Virginia, from 1776 to 1779 and from 1784 to 1786. This famous American Founding Father is wearing crimson breeches, green vest and hose, and a long red cloak. He carries a small placard stating "Liberty or Death". The handmade ornament is approximately 6" tall.
