Liberty blend is an historically accurate recreation of the honey enjoyed throughout the colonies in the 18th century. It is an artisanal product hand made by a family-owned company across the Potomac River in Maryland.
George Washington raised bees at Mount Vernon and enjoyed honey and hoecakes almost daily at breakfast. The honey from his hives probably smelled and tasted very much like the Liberty honey offered here from Bee America.
