George Washington once wrote that" No estate in United America is more pleasantly situated than this.” His Mansion at Mount Vernon is situated on a hill overlooking the Potomac River, and the Washington family spent many hours enjoying the spectacular view from the piazza. This 1792 painting attributed to Edward Savage shows the east front of the Mansion and the surrounding lands of Washington’s 8,000-acre plantation. Today, this meticulously-restored historic home is preserved as a national shrine and is open to the public every day of the year.

The image has been reproduced as a fine art lithographic print with a canvas textured finish. The print is protected with a UV retardant covering and is printed on recycled paper. This reproduction measures 40” x 27” including the frame. The frame is 3 3/8" wood moulding; gold with a burgundy panel.

This east view of the Mansion matches the west view (#8987) and together they make a striking pair.
