Description
During the Revolutionary War, the bugle came to be used as a signal instrument to communicate with soldiers. Although fifes were also used, the bugle could be heard more easily during war and soon became the favored instrument. Unlike the fife it could be played with only one hand making it more feasible for Calvary units.
The bugle is one of the simplest brass instruments, no valves or other pitch-altering devices. All pitch control is done by varying the player's embouchure. Our MV bugle is made of genuine brass and measures approximately 10 ½” x 5”.
Great addition to your instrument collection and to entice your young ones to play their hearts out!
