The image of Old Mount Vernon created by esteemed genre artist Eastman Johnson after his visit to the estate in 1857 is printed on one side of this bookmark. "Lives Bound Together, Remembering Those Enslaved at Mount Vernon", referencing the new exhibit at Mount Vernon, is printed above Johnson's painting. A photograph of the Slave Memorial and details about the memorial are printed on the other side. The bookmark is approximately 9" x 2 ¾" with a 4 ½" tassel. Printed on heavy weight paper with a clear protective coating.
