Handmade Historic White Oak Tall Vase #229
This smooth-edged red oak vase was created by Doug Dill, a master wood crafter in Lanexa, Virginia. Wood for the vase was sourced from a red oak tree that was planted at Mount Vernon circa 1798. This fallen tree stood over the present day Slave Memorial at George Washington's Mount Vernon until 2016. This unique item features streaks of turquoise to add visual interest.
This classic hollow vase stands at 8” tall,” with a 5” diameter at the widest part and a 3” base.
This unique item is signed and numbered on the bottom; a small card with the number and tree source and date is included. Your bowl is accompanied by a numbered certificate signed by the Regent of the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association. Please note that there are no discounts available for this item.
