George Washington Silver Quarter - 1932
The Silver Washington Quarter was introduced in 1932 as a commemorative coin for the 200th birthday of George Washington. The enthusiastic public response to the coin
prompted the re-minting of the coin in 1934; the re-minting continues today.
The Quarter design dates to 1785 when the French sculptor, Jean Antoine Houdon was commissioned to create a bust of Washington. The Houdon Bust that appears on the face of the coin is part of the Mount Vernon Collection.
Presented in a clear sleeve with coin specifications, history and certificate of authenticity. Sleeve measures 3-1/2" x 4".
