A lovely George Washington collectible plate, made by Crown Ducal of England, celebrating the bicentenary of Washington, 1732-1932.
This mulberry print is surrounded by a yellow and gold trim, featuring fruiting flowers and leaves. The plate features a scene from June 15th 1775, when John Adams formally nominates George Washington as commander of the continental forces (and when two days later, the Battle of Bunker Hill would ensue). Under the image, the text reads: John Adams proposing Washington for Commander-in-Chief of the American Army.
