Funny Back Silver Certificate
In 1928 U.S. currency went from large “horse blanket” size to the modern size we know today. One dollar silver certificates, with a blue seal, and exchangeable for a dollar in silver coins, were made in this style through 1934. This type was later termed “funny back”, which is ironic because it is the modern $1 bill which has the pyramid with the eye on top.
This is original currency, not a reproduction.
Please note that the series varies on each bill.
