Dove of Peace Weathervane Pewter Ornament
One of the most interesting features of George Washington's home is the cupola, complete with its dove of peace weather vane perched atop the Mansion. This final embellishment for the house was added in the autumn of 1787. Washington ordered the weather vane from a craftsman in Philadelphia, where he was presiding over the Constitutional Convention. This lead-free pewter ornament inspired by the weathervane is hand cast in Mount Airy, North Carolina by the House of Morgan Pewter. The ornament is 3 ¼" in diameter. Red ribbon for hanging is included.
Made in the USA.
