Description
These finely turned historic wood bowls were handcrafted by master woodturner Doug Dill of Lanexa, Virginia, using wood sourced from a White Oak tree planted at Mount Vernon circa 1706. Each bowl is engraved on the bottom with the artisan’s name and the source of the wood, ensuring authenticity and connection to George Washington’s estate. Because every piece is individually turned, variations in grain, texture, and style make each bowl a one-of-a-kind treasure. Every piece is hand-numbered with a unique serial number and tree source, and includes a numbered Certificate of Authenticity signed by the Regent of the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association.
