American Suffragette Ornament

The American suffragette ornament is one of the unique products of St. Nicolas, a British company that has worked with a small Christian charity in Thailand or India for 25 years helping disadvantaged rural women work in their own community by sewing decorations at home. The suffragist cause in early 20th century America was women's right to vote. The American suffragist is wearing a long navy blue dress with a red, white, and blue sash promoting "Votes for Women", and a blue hat with a red plume. The ornament is approximately 6 ½" tall.
