"I am now enjoying domestic ease under the shadow of my own Vine and, my own Fig tree" April 4, 1784, G Washington." Home for the Holidays is the theme of Mount Vernon's 2018 ornament. The ornament captures the spirit of the holiday season with George and Martha Washington arriving home in a horse-drawn carriage to the mansion that was the center of their holiday celebration. Washington's words from 1798, "Peace with all the world is my sincere wish", show on the back of the ornament. The 2018 Mount Vernon ornament is approximately 2 ¼" tall and 3"wide. Red ribbon for hanging included.

The ornament is presented in a red, white, and blue gift box with an informative enclosure card providing a brief history of Mount Vernon.
