1813 Silver U.S. Half Dollar Antique Coin
The first version of the Half Dollar was known as the Bust Half Dollar and was introduced in 1794. It remained in production until the late 1830s. One side of this coin features the profile of Lady Liberty. To the left and right sides of Lady Liberty are a total of 13 stars to commemorate the original colonies. Coin minted in 1813.
The reverse side depicts a silhouette of an eagle with a shield on its chest holding an olive branch and a cluster of arrows. Also inscribed in Latin is E PLURIBUS UNUM, the motto of the United States, OUT OF MANY, ONE.
