This finely turned ash bowl was created by Doug Dill, master wood crafter in Lanexa, Virginia. Wood for the bowl was sourced from an historic ash tree circa 1830. The Mount Vernon ash tree was leaning dangerously and was removed in 2016.
The round bowl is 8” in diameter and 3” deep on a base which is 3” in diameter. The smooth top edge of the bowl is inlaid with crushed turquoise stone.
This unique item is signed and numbered on the bottom; a small card with the number and tree source and date is included.
Your bowl is accompanied by a numbered certificate signed by the Regent of the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association. Please note that there are no discounts available for this item.
