George Washington Red Glass Cherry
George Washington and cherries. Cherries and George Washington. What could be more appropriate? There still are cherry trees at Mount Vernon and the fruits in the Upper and Lower gardens inspired these pieces. Made exclusively for Mount Vernon by master glassblower Luke Adams, these rich merlot-colored handblown glass cherries with dramatic black stems look good enough to eat. Used as paperweights or lined up on a window sill, they add interest to any décor.
Each Luke Adams cherry is handblown so no two are exactly alike. They are signed by the artist.
The cherry is shown in cranberry and measures approximately 5 ¾” to the tip of the stem by approximately 2 ¼” wide. Cherries are sold individually, not in a set.
