Vaillancourt American Eagle Blown Glass Ornament
The front of this Folk Art Ornament depicts the classic Vaillancourt Eagle with wings spread holding the American shield prominently displaying the word “Liberty”. The back and sides of the ornament displays the color and six-point stars of George Washington’s camp flag used during the American Revolution. Vaillancourt Folk Art started in 1984, when Judi, a classically trained artist with a passion for antiques and Christmas, adapted the Victorian art form of chalkware into her own process by pouring liquid chalk into vintage confectionery molds and applying her fine-art skills to the resulting three-dimensional canvas.
This hand-painted ornament is made with mouth-blown Polish glass with dimensions 3 ¼” x 3 ¼” x 4 ¼”.
