Mount Vernon Millstone Lamp
George Washington applied his entrepreneurial spirit to milling flour and cornmeal in 1770 when he built his first gristmill at Dogue Run Farm. Both imported and American millstones were carefully calibrated to produce different grades of flour. Inspired by an agricultural tool, this millstone motif's sculptural qualities reflect George Washington's love of symmetry and exacting design.
Made of cast concrete with aged stone finish. Lamp is 32" tall. Shade is 7 ¼" x 11" at the top and 11" x 19" at the bottom with 12" deep sides.
Produced by Wildwood Lamps.
