Potomac Painting by Simon Bull
During his visit to the estate, Simon Bull could often be found in the mornings on the East Lawn of the estate near the banks of the Potomac River. In a recent interview about his visit here he is quoted as saying he “is inspired primarily by nature”. Simon was able to spend several days to seek out the locations on the property which inspired his creativity the most.
The Potomac Painting of trees near the river’s edge is on a 30” x 40” canvas.
This original, one-of-kind artwork was painted exclusively for Mount Vernon during Simon Bull’s Plein Air Art Event July 2019.
Mount Vernon had the opportunity to interview the internationally renowned artist, Simon Bull, in the Upper Garden.
