Waterfall Style Amber Necklace
Martha Washington is said to have worn a necklace made of faceted amber to George Washington's first inauguration. Amber, which is the fossilized resin from ancient trees, is found worldwide with some of the oldest deposits being in the Baltic regions, Germany, Italy, parts of Canada, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Ecuador, and Africa.
This unusual amber necklace is approximately 16" long with and adjustable clasp to add an additional 1" to the overall length. The width of the necklace at the longest point is 4". The pierced earrings are 1 ¾" long.
