Handblown Glass Pear
In 1785 Washington received many varieties of pears from his neighbors that had been developed in Europe. Today, pear trees are still grown in several locations at Mount Vernon. Master Massachusetts glassblower Luke Adams has created a heavy glass pear that’s sure to bring a touch of whimsy to your home. Made exclusively for Mount Vernon, can be used as a paperweight, lined up in your window sill, or the perfect addition to your table throughout the year. The soft green pear with yellow and red flecks, hand-blown and each is unique, no two exactly alike. The handblown glass pear is a perfect addition to a Luke Adams pumpkin collection.
The green pear measures approximately 7 ½” to the top of the stem and 4” in diameter.
