Don't Tread on Me Lapel Pin

"Don't Tread on Me", considered one of the first flags of America, was presented to the colonies' first commander-in-chief of the Navy by Colonel Christopher Gadsden of South Carolina. The snake had been used as early as 1751 by Benjamin Franklin to express dissatisfaction with British government and was popularized by others, including Paul Revere.

The pin measures approximately ¾" x ½".
