Ribbons & Cornflower Rimmed Soup Plate
Mount Vernon's Ribbons and Cornflower pattern is adapted from a French porcelain mug that was made in Paris by Christopher Potter, circa 1790-1795; The mug was originally used by George and Martha Washington, and now resides at the Mount Vernon collection. Washington's keen eye for elegance and fashion attracted him to its handsomely decorated form.
This rimmed soup plate features the pattern, which is comprised of a cheery yellow trim with metallic gold accents. Pink flowers intertwine with ribbon and delicate blue cornflowers decorates each piece and catch the eye.
