The design for these laser engraved crystal earrings is inspired by the colonial symbol of hospitality, the pineapple. In the eighteenth-century, merchants and sea captains returning from the West Indies presented the rare pineapple as a gift of friendship and hospitality. George and Martha Washington were well known for their generous hospitality and served pineapple at Mount Vernon. The crystal earrings have a height of 1", a width of ¾", and a depth of ¼". The ear-wires are silver-tone metal.
